Thanks to KC Pingle, who has thousands of newspaper/magazine cuttings like this, we have this image from Filmfare August 1982 describing the celebration of late Chandrashekhar turning 60. So, he was born in 1922 and he was almost 99 when he passed away on June 16, 2021, yesterday.

Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz' called this morning about a book we are writing together. Conversation turned to BV Dharap, founder of Alka Talkies Poona, author of a dozen books on Indian cinema and the man who, single-handedly, unearthed the censor certificate information for all the Indian films from the very beginning. I wanted a photo of him and he said he had been to Alka Talkies afew times knows people there and he will try to get it. He mentioned in passing that Dharap was trained as an electrical engineer and even worked as an assistant sound engineer for a film. He then sent me this booklet, here, for your pleasure.
