In Musing 865, I pointed out how the film name shown in the Censor Certificate in the beginning of the film could be different from the name shown in the Titles. I gave the  example of Saahib Beebee Aur Ghulaam. Sunny Agarwal has found two more! Thank you Sunny!

He is known as the grand daddy of all the compilers. He started it all. But his books are in English, how can he tell you how to say Madan in Hindi, you ask? Well, it turns out he had a translation made of at least one book. He supervised it, he wrote the introduction, so it is authorized by him. By golly! In that book, in Hindi it is

maadan = मादन

As far as I am concerned, case closed. I will not try to persuade any one, but here is Firoze Rangoonwalla telling you how to say it :)
