Professor Neepa Majumdar, Director of Graduate Studies for the Film and Media Studies Program, University of Pittsburgh, came to the Michigan State University, East Lansing, to give a lecture on fandom, nonfiction impulses, and videographic approaches to star studies. It was very well presented with many video examples from Hollywood and Bollywood.

We have known each other for a while but this is the first time I met her in person.

After the lecture I mentioned to her that I understood her video film examples very well, but I understood her film theory probably as much as she would have understood a lecture on Higgs Boson!

She nodded and smiled.

Then we had a mini RMIM meeting.
