The core of the database is, of course, the legendary Hindi Film Geet Kosh by Har Mandir Singh 'Hamraaz'. He has said and written many times that his work would not have been possible without the help from countless individuals. He has published lists of hundreds of names in his books, You can see them in the Acknowledgment section of V1.0.

I would like to remind you of just two persons, Biswanath Chattarjee and (late) Gurcharan Singh Sandhu. You can read all about their contributions in the source mentioned above.

Specifically for V2.0, I have been blessed to have so many friends who have helped and still helping me without wanting anything in return. It would not have been possible without them.

N Ramaswamy captured thousand of photos from old magazines and books.

Sheo Khetan captured pictures of the cast from hundreds of films.

Upendra Samaranayake and Dr Ramnath provided valuable info about hundreds of Junior Artists.

(late) Edwina Violette helped identify hundreds of her co-dancers.

Kharag Singh is capturing photos of the cast from 1971 onward that will be useful later.

N Ramaswamy, Ajit Sidhu and Shefali Gandhi went through (and are still continuing) hundreds of issues of Bombay Chronicle to find out the film release date and cinema info.

Of course, I am also thankful to The Asiatic Society of Mumbai, who generously put the newspaper issues on the Internet Archive.
