I have been reading for a long time that Roopesh Kumar is a cousin of Mumtaz. Recently I read that it is not true, both are from Iran, but there is no relation.

Of course, sometimes long held beliefs turn out to be wrong. For example, it is true that the actor Iftekhar is NOT related to the actress Veena, please see

So, I decided to dig into my collection of magazines. Luckily found this interview in Star and Style (thanks to the veteran RMIMer Asif Alvi, again).

Note: Mumtaz is his father's sister's daughter, she is phupheri bahan and he is mamera bhai.

There are movie fanatics!

In the film CID (!956) that was shown on the big screen in India, Vibhendu noticed this

Obviously captured in a Cinema Hall. There are names of the crew from the film on the board on the well, eg OP Nayyar, Abrar Alvi.

Then Sapan Oza noticed the same thing, brought to our attention by Balaji Vittal.

I was curious to see what these guys had done. I captured this from the film

Turns out these are officers assigned to cases and their progress etc. I could not find Inspector Shekhar's name.
