I am sure you have all read the story, started by Raju Bhartan, how Lata espied Ram Ganguly using one of the tunes from 'Barsat' for another producer, while she was in the same recording studio, and how she ratted out Ram Ganguly to Raj Kapoor, who was furious and fired him on the spot.

I now give you another version from Radhu Karmakar, the ace cinematographer, from the book, Radhu Karmakar the Painter of Lights.

According to him, Ram Ganguly quit over differences with Raj Kapoor.

Here in a scene from Aas (1953), we see Chandabai but the caption says Shardabai. This complicates things. So, if I see Shardabai listed, is it always Chandabai? Unless the film or another source is available, we are stuck.
