In the previous musing I made a mistake. I implied that a film with this name was made in the silent era. That is wrong. I presumed that just like the other popular stage play Anarkali, this must have bee made as a silent. Not true.

1. Pradeep Asrani pointed out that the music director of Pamposh (1953) was given as Manohar Lal Khanna, father of Usha Khanna.

2. Syed Zafar Shah pointed out that the actual music director is Mohanlal Aima, a famous Kashmiri musicina and singer.

3. Then followed a series of remarks based on the internet, but still no actual written proof from a book/magazine/newspaper.

4. Pavan Jha settled the question by posting page 30 from the book on Ezra Mir by N J Kamath.
