Ever since I read the story as a teenager two things have puzzled me.
How did the voice activated password work. What kind of technology may have been involved. This mystery was solved when I watched this movie made by Basant Pictures. It turns out it was operated by a big wheel connected to the door with a thick axle. The wheel was pulled by slaves in the basement.
The second puzzle was actually a plot hole. You see when your password is compromised you don't go on a wild goose chase and start killing people; you simply change your password :)
They could have changed it to Khul Jaa Kaddoo!
