In US there is a commonly used phrase, "Why don't you put your money where your mouth is?" It means that if one really means something seriously, one should be willing to back it up with money. I did that in 2004, when I got tired of Rafi fans claiming that he had sung more than 30,000 songs. I offered a reward of $10 for each new Hindi film song that was not listed in any book on Rafi. It was widely reported in the Indian media. I have not lost any money yet.
When I started writing books, I offered a reward to people for finding mistakes in my books. I then published the errors on my website. Here is the latest Errata for the Indurani book.
