He was the cinematographer and sound recordist of the early talkies in India, who trained the Indians. Here he is seen with the team from Calcutta in 1932.

He wrote a 4 page article about his experiences in India, comparing the working conditions in Bombay and Calcutta. He also discussed how the name Tollywood came about. The article was published in the American Cinematographer, March 1932. Download and read from here

In preparation of the book, I talked to her about other group dancers. Then I had an idea! Why not write a book about them too. So, I asked Narsingh Agnish to watch all her films and capture images from those movies. He captured more than a thousand images, of which we selected about 500 to be sent to Edu. I sent about 10 images to her daily and she identified most of them, even writing whatever information she about them. The result was this book
