This is not my discovery, a veteran RMIMers, Urzung (from Pakistan) mentioned this about 15 years ago. Finally getting the chance to use this info in the latest book by Sheo Khetan. She is in the Omar Khayyam drama scene (Khazanchi, 1941) singing the song 'peene ke din aaye piye jaa'
Please revise your filmographies of Munawwar Sultana (the actress, not the singer, they are different), if needed.

I found out that Ali Peter John (Retired Editor Screen Weekly) hates the term. He mentioned that Amit Khanna claimed to invented it. When I asked for the earliest use of the term in print from my Facebook friends, Pavan Jha, who knows everything, and whatsmore remembers everything, mentioned its first appearance in an Inspector Ghote mystery by H R F Keating. It can be seen on page 40 here.

But he was a teacher in Ganga Jumna (1961); the song 'Inssaf Kee Dagar' by Hemant was picturized on him.
