In the single screen era of Cinema Halls usually the cinema halls stayed in the same place with the original name. Sometimes the name changed.
In my lifetime I do not remember any cinema hall having its name changed in any city that I have been to.
In our work on the release dates of movies in the 40s, we found this example where the name change was announced in a newspaper!
