Hindi Films, all aspects

So, we have seen many claims for being the first to introduce the playback system in Hindi films:

Rai Chand Boral.

Nitin Bose,

Saraswati Devi,

Keshavrao Bhole, and

Anil Biswas.

So, if somebody tells you that Mr/Ms XYZ introduced it, you can point to this series of posts and say, Oh Really?

I am not sure Ms Alison Arnold failed to mention it but Anil BIswas also has a claim.

Kaustubh Pingle wrote in response to my first post

"HIREN BOSE said in a Filmfare issue of 1954 that Anil Biswas did it for the first time for "Dharam Ki Devi", where he was the singer and Kumar was the actor!
I can believe him because HB was the First person to import a playback machine in India in 1939."

I have also read this claim elsewhere.

Continuing from Ms Arnold thesis.

Or, was it Keshavrao Bhole?
