Indurani passed away on February 18, 2012. 

I would like to remember her by telling you about how she was related to Asha Parekh. 

Induarni's first daughter is Hashmat.
Hashmat's husband was Rafique Rahimtoola.
Rafique Rahimtoola parents were Sadruddin Rahimtoola and Manjula Parekh.
Manjula Parekh's brother was Bachubhai Motilal Parekh.
Bachubhai Motilal Parekh was Asha Parekh's father!

So Asha Parekh was Indurani's daughter's mother-in-law's brother's daughter!!!

Mr Parikh was a Vaishnav Gujarati and Miss Lakdawala was Bohra Muslim.

Their families disapproved of the match but they got married anyway on August 1st 1941 in a civil court.

Their common friend Ayub hosted a celebration at Purohit, a vegetarian restaurant with close friends.  

Asha Parikh was born on Oct 2, 1942. Slowly the families relented and everything was OK.
