On my website I have complete and collected works of the celebrated music dirrector of the sub-continent, Khwaja Khurshid Anwar. In fact, in spite of the fact the material has not chnaged much in more than a decade, this section of my website is always in the top three sections, the other two being the Roberto and the Narsingh collections of rare songs. Many years ago, his autobiography (based on interviews with him, which was published in an Urdu newspaper), was put on my website. Unfortunately, part 11 of the 15-part series was missing. Thanks to the efforts of the MDs son, and my dear friend Irfan Anwar, part 11 has been found. You can download all the parts here or read online.

In a recent tweet (December 16) Lata wrote that she sang on the Bombay Radio Station for the first rime in 1941. I found this in the Program Guide of December 1941. It says that 'Lalita' Mangeshkar is going to sing 'Mori Nindiya Gamaye' in Raag Bihaag at the Bombay Radio Station at 6:10 pm. My guess is that 'Lalita' is really jagat didi Lata.
