I read this book long ago. Liked it very much. Very nice history and analysis. Even though he is obviously a fan of 30s-50s music, he did justice to people like RD Burman and AR Rehman. AS usual, while I was reading it, I was noting down the annoying mistakes with page number etc. I was hoping to review it some day.
Luckily, I recently found a review of the book by VAK Ranga Rao published in Sruti, August 2008. He did a great job and catching mostly the same mistakes that I did.
